Major Upgrades to the Protocol
Management System
Released: January 1, 2003
At the beginning of the new year (2003), Input
Output, Inc. released it's latest version of the
Protocol Management System. Many new enhancements
were added to the original version released in
1997. This software, that is touted as the
"Easiest to Use" clinical data
management database system, now captures all data,
including paper and electronic documents, faxes
and emails into the system for easy reference and
retrieval. All the documents are linked to
their respective data. For example, a
Protocol Amendment document could be scanned and
stored with link between the database record
for the amendment and the document that supports
it. This alleviates the necessity to
distribute these document to other parties in your
organization for review and approval.
Financial tracking and management tools were
included in the new release to provide detailed
cost and profit analysis to better manage the
protocols you participate in.
